Air pollution from forest fires in the North is still a concern

Air pollution from forest fires and open burning in the northern region of Thailand remains a concern, especially during the longer dry season. PM2.5 dust levels remain above the standard in many areas, affecting public health and the tourism sector. The government and relevant agencies are accelerating measures to prevent and suppress forest fires and promoting the use of technology to extinguish forest fires in order to reduce the impact on the environment and the health of local people.
